Congratulations Class of 2013!  

On Saturday, May 4 North Carolina Wesleyan College held our May 2013 Commencement Ceremony.  


Following is a snapshot of the graduating class:  

Just under 190 students graduated:

40% - traditional students (Rocky Mount campus)
60% - adult students, Aspire (Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington campuses)

Note:  The Wilmington site at Cape Fear CC is celebrating the first graduate from the new partnership program launched there in January 2012.   


61 individuals were recognized as honor graduates. 47 graduates have earned double majors.There were 22 individuals from 8 states other than North Carolina including: California, Florida (2), Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland (5), New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia (10); 1 individual from Malaysia

Spring Alumni Weekend
The weekend of April 5-6 was the Spring Alumni Weekend held on Wesleyan's Rocky Mount campus. We welcomed over 115 alumni, family, and friends to campus for the weekend!

The Class of 1964 will be the first class in the school's history to celebrate their 50th Reunion in Spring 2014! Be on the lookout for more details in the coming months.

Two Students in NCAA Tennis Tournament  

The NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee has announced its draws for the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Individual and Doubles Championships. North Carolina Wesleyan earned seeds in both brackets, as junior Robert Kjellberg was tabbed #6 in singles while he and senior Artsiom Prostak earned a #3 seed in doubles. Both have advanced to the quarterfinal round!

Three construction projects in progress this summer!

Edgecombe Renovation
Edgecombe Residence Hall is being fully renovated for the first time since being built.

Southern Bank Green
Southern Bank has sponsored a project to create a green space directly behind Braswell Administration Building. This will promote a pedestrian friendly campus.

Hartness Student Center
The student center will get an aesthetic update - including new floors, updates office space, new pool and ping pong  tables, and a cyber lounge!
