Alumni All Around
We love hearing about alumni supporting, remembering, and representing Wesleyan from afar! Below are a few stories alumni have sent in with pictures:
Wesleyan alumni Lynn Dare '70 and Don Dare '68 attend the
Bishops football game against Maryville College on November 3, 2012, in Maryville, Tennessee. Lynn and Don live in nearby Knoxville, Tennessee. While students at Wesleyan in the 1960's, they were big basketball fans and rarely missed home games. Now that Wesleyan has football, in 2010 and now 2012, the Dare's have cheered on the Fighting Bishops as they play against the Scots in Maryville. As a freshman at Wesleyan, Don was the first male cheerleader for the school. Lynn, an English major, continues teaching school in Knoxville. Don, a Theater-Speech major, is a TV news reporter. The Dare's have been married for 42 years.
Cathy Dunn '91, Melissa Stanley Helton '90, Lorena Segura Moyer '91, and Jewel Beamon '93 get together every year in Northern Virginia, DC, or Maryland to remember their college days at Wesleyan! The above picture was taken in July 2012.
Rachel Radford '08 is currently working and living in Velence, Hungary teaching English to first and third graders at Zoldliget Bilingual School. Rachel worked for NCWC in the Admissions Office until she left for Hungary during Summer 2012.
