Proverbs 3:25-26 - "Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken."
The wisdom literature of Israel was unique in that it was the chief storehouse of moral instruction and practical wisdom for God's people. The writings recognized three classes of people who desperately needed wisdom's counsel, the fool, the simple, and the scorner. (see 1:22). The simple are those who are open to good influences, but are also too open to those who influence for evil. Life is simple for them, all they want are simple pleasures and little else interests them. The scorner despises anything that is godly and takes pride in his evil ways. Finally wisdom addresses the fool. These are ignorant persons who are totally confident in their own wisdom. They believe that they have things all figured out without God's help. Wisdom calls to us to follow her into the path of blessing and success. Foolishness calls us to follow her down the path of rebellion and self-fulfillment that ultimately leads to destruction.
Sound wisdom will insure a life full of trust. Anxiety and fear will not be able to attach themselves to the person who makes gaining wisdom a priority because this is a person who trusts God so totally that fear will be unable to trip him up. His confidence is not in himself, but rather in the Lord.
The description of wisdom in Proverbs makes us understand that Jesus embodies the wisdom of God. To yield our lives to Jesus Christ is the ultimate act of wisdom; to be in Him is to be in the wisdom of God.

Christian Connection
Minister Barbara Thomas was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. She was ordained under the leadership of Bishop John Broomer, of the Church of the Living God, where she served in various positions, including Associate Minister.
You will frequently find her ministering at retreats, conferences, revivals and prayer breakfasts. Her passion for women, young and old has allowed her to be recognized as a spiritual mother. Her ability to relate on many different levels through life experiences and insight from the Holy Spirit makes counseling a servant's pleasure, not a chore. She is an anointed Woman of God, who rightly divides the Word of Truth.
Minister Thomas is currently a member of Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Apostle Gilbert Coleman is the Senior Pastor.
She is a Mother and Grandmother. To reach her for your service or conference, she can be contacted at (302) 897-5730, or email at bat419@gmail.com

It also includes restoration of that which has been stolen or lost. Do you have peace in every area of your life? Or is your life broken into tiny pieces like a jigsaw puzzle? Whatever your issues are, until all the pieces of your puzzled life have been put together, you will not be whole.

It's All About Jesus
Do you ever just stop and ask yourself what your motivations are for doing what you do? It is so easy to just get caught up in doing. Sometimes we simply emulate what we see going on around us. Sometimes we are swept away in the tide of needing the approval of others and so we go along to get along. Why do you go to church? If you talk about Jesus, why do you do it? When you do good to others, what is going on in your heart? Do you study the Word? If so, why? I am posing these questions to you because I have already asked myself the same things. When the dust settles, I can truthfully say that as I answer these questions for myself, I do understand my motivations. I want the lost to be saved and the saved to be strengthened. Pure and simple! So today, I ask you this direct questions; do you know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior? If not, today is a perfect day for you to receive Him. Pray this simple prayer and you will pass from darkness into His light:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In your name, amen.
If you prayed this prayer by faith and received Christ today, email us and let us know. We want to pray for you that God will guide your every step. Heaven is rejoicing and we are too!

Prayer Matters
Have you ever joined us for a Victory in Prayer call? If not, let me tell you how it works. We receive numerous prayer requests from people all over the United States and several foreign countries. We compile a list of every prayer need and when we come together, I lead the participants in prayer as we believe God together for each person. We come to each call with a sense of expectation, and hope in God. According to His Word, we know that He hears us and we release our collective faith for His perfect will to be done.
The praise reports are pouring in as God continues to be faithful.
There are now two opportunities for you to participate. On Monday evenings from 7:00 to 7:30 pm EST and Wednesday mornings from 6:30 to 7:00am EST, we petition the Father on behalf of those who have asked for prayer. You are free to join either or both calls. The call in information is the same for each, (712) 432 3066; access code 930692.
If you would like to receive our monthly prayer calendar, email us to have your name added to the distribution list.
We are praying today for the end of gun violence! Join us in crying out to God for the end of this evil that has destroyed so many innocent lives.

Thank you to all participants. You have made the Bible Quiz one of the favorite parts of the VLM Newsletter!
Your quiz question for today, 3/28/14:
After seeing the destruction of Jericho and Ai, the inhabitants of which city pretended to be travelers from a far off land to make a covenant of peace with the Israelites?
A correct response must include the scripture where it is found!
Let's go and keep loving and learning the Word!

To Your Good Health
Spirulina may be the most complete food in the world. It has the highest concentration/variety of nutrients of any known food in the world !
Spirulina has hundreds of vitamins, enzymes, carotenoids, amino acids, and minerals. It also has all of the essential fatty acids that your body needs but cannot produce itself.
It helps to lower your cholesterol and is also a great anti inflammatory agent and antioxidant. Spirulina helps to protect your brain from dementia.
Furthermore, we are exposed to many toxins everyday, including aluminum in our deodorants and mercury in fish, and spirulina is a powerful detoxifier. Be sure to only use organic spirulina in order to avoid ingesting spirulina that already has absorbed toxins. I generally recommend 5-10 grams of spirulina daily.
Here is a great site for more useful information about spirulina, which I now consume every day.

Will You Help???
|

All of the great things that you have helped us to accomplish are still going strong! We shipped shoes this week to children in Texas, we sent a check to Glory Unlimited Ministries to help provide water for people in Kenya, we presented a family with a check to help keep them afloat due to a financial crisis, and there is still much that needs to be done.
We are gearing up and need help with more bras for the women in the prison program that we support, we always need more shoes for needy children around the nation and money donations are needed to continue meeting numerous needs! Have you helped us lately? If not, will you prayerfully consider partnership? For as little as $20.00 per month, you can make a difference in lives around the world. For more information on partnership, go to our website at www.vl-ministries.org
