It has been almost 10 years since my divorce.  I have learned a lot in that time; about God and about myself.  I have met many other Christian  women along the way who like me have had this experience and most of us have some things in common.  What we discovered is that divorce is a broken place, and it is not a clean break.  It is a place of jagged edges, frayed nerves and questioning of everything that you thought that you knew before.  Because you are a Christian, it is a place at times of being judged and ostracized, it is a place of choosing sides, victim and perpetrator.  But what I have come to know is that divorce is a result of the actions and choices of two people, not just one.  But I have also found it to be a place of God's mercy and goodness and faithfulness.  You can recover!  Let me give you a couple of scriptures that have helped me tremendously.  Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."  In order to get past all of the hurt, self doubt, low self esteem and judgment and opinions of others, it is absolutely imperative that you begin to have your mind renewed.  You are who God says you are, no matter why you are divorced.  The pain of rejection runs deep.  It intrinsically implies that there is something deficient in you, thus you were unable to hold onto our mate.  The second verse that I want to mention is found in Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."  Refuse to focus on what has been done, refuse to entertain feelings of inadequacy and failure, and allow the Spirit of God to minister to your place of pain.  You can recover.  Practice the following statements daily:
  • I will not spend my time placing blame
  • I will own my failings
  • I will not be a victim
  • I will forgive
  • I will not be an angry/bitter person
  • I will live every day to the fullest
Today, I am a witness that though there were many days when I felt as if I could not go on, God helped me and met me in my broken place.  I did recover!

Meet the Board

Erica B. Samuels
When you ask God to do something, sometimes He answers in very dramatic fashion.  I knew that in order for the ministry to accomplish all that the Lord was saying, that I could no longer handle it single handedly. I would need help.  So I asked Him, Lord send the resources that are needed to bring your purpose and plan to pass.

One day my phone rang and it was Erica.  She said that the Lord had instructed her to help with Victorious Life Ministries.  I was too excited and was thanking God for answering my prayers.  She was living in Philadelphia.  I thought that she was going to work with us from there.  She then proceeded to tell me that her instructions from the Lord were to move to Palm Coast, Florida.  The rest is history.  In short order, she found an apartment, and relocated, at her own expense I might add.  Won't God do the miraculous.  She is here and has already been a tremendous blessing, working side by side with me each day.  She is a member of the Advisory Board, serving as one of our Directors of Outreach and Evangelism.

I asked her to give me a statement about why she is a part of Victorious Life Ministries.  Her response was as follows: "With my being I aim to do the will of God. Jesus sent me to Palm Coast to be a helper to Faye Dadzie, in her vision of Victorious Life Ministries, for God's glory."

The city of Palm Coast, Florida, Victorious Life Ministries and I personally welcome Erica.  God is to be praised for His marvelous acts to the children of men!

Prayer Matters
Our prayer calendar focus for today is fractured families.  There are family members that have not spoken to each other in years.  Things have happened that have caused breakdowns, ill feelings, bitterness and unforgiveness.  We are asking you to join us in believing God for restoration and healing.

Prayer positions us for victory over our sin nature and every plot and plan of the enemy.  Join us every Wednesday morning from 6:30am to 7:00 am EST for the Victory in Prayer call.  Believers come together from all over the country to intercede for others and to petition God to move in our lives.  We have irrefutable evidence that God is answering prayer; healings, deliverance, provision and more.  Call in 1 712 432 3066; access code 930692.  Your life will never be the same.

How may we pray for you?  Our intercessory prayer team is here to set our faith with your faith.  We know that God is able, but He is also willing.  Submit your prayer request via email @ victoriousmin@att.net or the website @ www.vl-ministries.org or call the 24/7 ministry line at 1 888 479 1113

Remember, prayer changes everything!

Make Life Better - February 2014
This week we shipped a very important package to the George W. Hill Women's Correctional Facility in Thornton, Pa.  This picture gives you a glimpse!

We hope that the brothers will not be uncomfortable, but this photo is what's in the package; 50 bras for the  inmates.  Each one was individually bagged and sized to make distribution easier.  A big thank you to Erica Samuels for the time that she put in to this project.

Thank you to all those who donated and helped us make a difference for  women in need!

On this coming Sunday, a Victorious Life Ministries team is headed to Hastings, Florida.  Our goal is to serve the migrant farm workers who live in desperate poverty in that community.  We will not be going empty-handed.

We will be taking all of these bags of personal hygiene items for their use.  Each bag includes soap, shampoo, lotion etc.  Believe it or not, right here in America, there are people who desire these basic items and cannot readily access or afford them.  You make these gifts possible!

Are You Sure?

Have you ever asked the Lord to come into your life?  Or did you just join a church?  Friend, it is the will of God that you be in relationship with Him.  The only way to do that is to invite Him into your life.  If you have never received Christ, today is a perfect day for you to be born again!  You don't need a choir or an organ or even excitement.  You simply need to come to the realization that you need Jesus and without Him, this earth is the only heaven you will ever know.

But if you pray this prayer in faith, today your name will be written in the Lamb's Book of Life!

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.

In your name, amen.

If you prayed this prayer for the first time today, contact us and let us know.  We want to join heaven in celebrating your new life in Christ!  We pray that you find a Bible believing, Bible teaching church and become a true disciple of Jesus Christ.  This is the best decision that you have ever made.

Sincerely,

Faye Dadzie

Let's learn!
To Your Health

Seitan (or gluten) is the main protein of wheat. When wheat flour dough is washed with water until all the starch dissolves, then seitan remains. Wheat gluten was first developed in China and has been popular in East and Southeast Asian nations for hundreds of years.

Seitan is nutritionally very strong. It is really an optimal low fat, low cholesterol, high protein replacement for red meat. In recent years, some have touted fish and seafood as healthful replacements for red meat. However, many toxic metals and chemicals have been showing up in some fish samples. Seitan is a clean and safe way to get very high quality protein.

For those with celiac sprue, (gluten sensitive) however, seitan should be avoided since it may cause bowel inflammation, but this disease occurs in less than 1 in 100 people. If you can eat wheat or rye bread, then seitan should not be a problem for you.

In summary, seitan is a great meat replacement since it has many of the same upsides nutritionally, without increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, or other "typically American" chronic diseases.

Enjoy in good health and have a wonderful weekend.

 God bless !

Partner With Us!

Every day we touch lives with the love of God.  That is what Victorious Life Ministries is all about!  To continue the life changing work that God has called us to,  we need your help.  We cannot do this on our own.
