Student-curated news and opportunities for and by student changemakers
January 20, 2015

"ExhibitBE" - an outdoor street art museum in an abandoned Algiers housing complex - closed Monday after an eventful final weekend of celebration and remembrance of the civil rights leaders it honors.
Read about the project that you've been hearing about/seeing pictures of all weekend here!
Shout-out to all the Tulane students and community members who spent the MLK, Jr. holiday volunteering their time in the various community service projects through-out the city!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT A DAY ON, NOT A DAY OFF!

New Orleans' own rapper Dee-1 gave the Keynote address at the annual MLK memorial march from City Hall to MLK & S. Claiborne Blvd. We also heard talks from religious leaders and the artist behind ExhibitBe, Brandon "B-Mike" Odums, who quoted one of the images at the exhibit saying "You are your ancestors' wildest dream."
