Elder in the spotlight

Meet Frances!

We are looking for a Visiting Volunteer for our elder friend Frances:

Frances is a 78-year-old woman living in a south Minneapolis care center. She has been part of Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly for nearly 10 years. Her family lives out of state and she does not see them but keeps loosely connected through letters and infrequent phone calls. Frances simply wants someone who could take her out of the care center and spend some time with her. She especially loves going to the lake in the summer, out for coffee or lunch, or on a trip to Target. She uses a walker when she goes out and walks slowly but steadily. Frances is a very gentle, kind, quiet woman of few words. She enjoys many events at LBFE including luncheons and especially bingo. She has a charming disposition and needs a friend.

Our Visiting Volunteers help fulfill our mission by providing regular, consistent visits throughout each month. If you or somebody you know is interested in visiting Frances or other elders like her, please contact Josh Windham at jwindham@littlebrothersmn.org or 612.746.0732.
