Sunday School Scoop   
 Greetings!  

      The fourth and fifth graders will find the prophet Elijah weary and running for his life this Sunday.  They will discover that God ministers to him in mysterious ways.  After praying that he'd die, Elijah wakes up to a loaf of warm bread and a jug of water from God in the wilderness. Sustained physically for his forty day journey, Elijah travels to Mount Horeb. Here God ministers to Elijah's grumbling spirit with a gentle whisper.  Thanks be to God for ministering to his people throughout all generations!                                           Ministering with you, Sheryle Silvern

Family Fun Night
Children and their families are invited to a sdrawkcaB Party on Saturday, February 23rd at 4:00 pm.  Join us for crafts, games, food and fellowship! Please bring a dish to share. Children at the Table
Children who have expressed faith in Jesus Christ and would like to share in communion are invited to attend "Children at the Table" classes.  We will meet on Thursday, March 14th  at 4:30 in the Community Room and on March 21st at 4:30 in the Sanctuary.  The children will receive communion for the first time at the Maundy Thursday Service on March 28th at 7:30.   Sign up on your Connection Card or contact Sheryle Silvern at 227-1965 or S.Silvern@hrcrca.org. 

Cherub Choir
Children in 1st through 5th grade are invited to join the Cherub Choir. We will rehearse this Sunday 2/17 at 9:50. Contact: Michelle Frego at LMFREGO@frontiernet.net. 
 
SonWest Roundup VBS
SonWest Roundup VBS is coming to HRC on August 12th-16th! Please save the date.
Registration starts on May 1st. There will be a VBS prep meeting this Wednesday 2/20 at 10:15 in Room H.  Please join us!

Sunday School

Please join us anytime for Sunday School! Children in Pre-K through the 5th grade begin in the sanctuary. They are dismissed to the Fellowship Hall after the Children's Message where they are met by their teachers. We ask parents to escort their Pre-K children to the Bright Beginnings room. Kids in Jr and Sr High begin in the Youth House except for the first Sunday of the month. Our infant and toddler nursery is upstairs in room G.

Focus: The people of Israel forgot to trust God's promise to bring them safely to Canaan.
