Ash Wednesday worship: We will have a worship service on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:30 PM. The Wednesdays following, we will have a light supper at 6:30 PM followed by worship at 7:15 PM as part of our Seven Last Words of Christ sermon series.
Greeters: Greeters are needed for the Gathering service at 8:45. If interested in this ministry, please email dbouji@optonline.net and include your name, phone number, and email address, or check off on your connection card. Be sure to include all the requested information.
Luncheon: On February 17, Rev. Jeff Munroe, Vice Preseident of Advancement & Communications for Western Seminary will be preaching at our morning services. Following the Foundations service, there will be a luncheon to which you are all invited. Please mark your calendars and check off that your will be attending on your Connection Card.
Flower Chart: A new flower chart is at the kiosk. Please reserve your Sunday to donate flowers. Complete the requested information next to the date you want. Please note that you are responsible to order the flowers and have them at HRC prior to the Gatherings worship service (8:45 AM) on Sunday. |

DISCIPLESHIP
 Courses Offered: The Winter/Spring 2013 course offerings for the School for Christian Living & Serving is now posted on the bulletin board outside the church office. If you are interested in registering for any of these courses, please see Birgit for a registration form.
Sandwich Sunday: The children will be making 200 bag lunches for The Lunch Box during Sunday School on February 10th. The Lunch Box provides meals for people in need in Poughkeepsie. Please sign up to bring in an item that we need on the "Sandwich Board" in the Fellowship hall. Thank you! Contact: Sheryle Silvern
Family Fun Night:Children and their families are invited to a sdrawkcaB Party on February 23rd at 4:00 pm. Join us for crafts, games, food and fellowship! Please bring a dish to share. New Group Starting: Do you believe the lies? Are you 16-21 years old? Come learn about "The Lies Young Woman Believe and the Truth that Sets them Free" based on Nancy DeMoss's back on Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 9 in the Consistory room starting on February 6. Taconic Retreat: There will be a spiritual retreat at Camp Taconic in Milan, NY on February 22 - 24. This is for ALL kids, grades 6th through 12th. Social Gospel Informational Meeting: February 24, 2013 at 12:00 - 2:00 (food provided.) The time has come, as it has over the centuries, to invite Hopewell Reformed Church to, again, consider our role in the area of Social Gospel. How do we bring "social justice" back into the Gospel and the "Gospel" back into social justice? Through EDUCATION, ENGAGEMENT, and ACTION, let us explore together what Social Gospel might mean for HRC from our own passions, etc.(Attending does NOT commit you to life!) HRC Epic Outreach Local Mission Opportunity: Date: Feb 9, Saturday; Time: 10am-12pm; Who: 6th-12th graders; Where: EZ Storage in Hopewell Jct, What: Shop to Stop Child Abuse Organization, a community organization that benefits the prevention of child abuse in Dutchess County. Donation of "Gently Used Digital Cameras and Video Cameras" Wanted: J-Life International is seeking donations of cameras to give to their country leaders during the annual J-Life Summit held Feb 21-Mar 6. Donations should be left in the church office. Please contact Kevin Philips who has graciously agreed to bring them over when he comes. He would need them by FEB 16.
