Hello Philmont Supporters,

Here's the Town Hall meeting we've all been waiting for - now would be the perfect time to add Philmont's voice to the conversation as a part of the  Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC) strategic plan and be a part of showing our support to the CREDC in their bid for
Governor Cuomo's  Upstate Revitalization Initiative.  Word on the street is CREDC has hired one of the best, McKinsey & Company, to run the show, so this meeting should be pretty interesting in its scope, impact, and economic development reach into Columbia County.  But not without our voices being a part of that conversation representing concerned and active community development citizens in Philmont!

Want to keep seeing it happenin' in the village? - then attend this Town Hall meeting! PLEASE!

The meeting is this Thursday, August 20, in the Saland Forum in the Professional Academic Center on the Columbia Greene Community College Campus.

Registration is at 8:00AM. The Town Hall is from 8:30 - 10:00 AM and will solicit your input on transformational strategies and initiatives that will enable sustained economic growth and prosperity for all. Please plan to attend this important event to make sure your voice is heard. RSVPs are appreciated; please e-mail

WHAT IS CAPITAL 20.20?
CAPITAL 20.20 is a special initiative of the Capital Region Economic Development Council dedicated to plan development around the region and compete for three, one-time, $500 million economic development investments from the State of New York's Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI).  This initiative works in conjunction with the Regional Councils, which will award a total of $750 million this year - including approximately $600 million to Upstate New York. By design, the Upstate Revitalization Initiative and Regional Economic Development Council Awards will run concurrently, ensuring all regions benefit from the State's increased investment in job creation this year.  For more information, go to www.capital2020.biz.

We'll be there with farmers, Co-op folk, PBI supporters - so please feel free to join us!
