The Coolidge Foundation was founded was formed in 1960 to preserve and promote the legacy of Calvin Coolidge. Among its many programs is a major debate program that brings hundreds of high schoolers to Plymouth Notch each summer to learn about Coolidge and debate topics related to presidential decision making. DONATE TO DEBATE!

"My own conclusion is simple. Debate is the best kind of charity, worthy of all support, whether from presidents or regular dads. Fund it, watch it, judge it, give your kids to it: debate is America's forgotten sport" - Amity Shlaes

Our mission is that every school in New York City should have a debate team and every NYC student should have access to the best debate education opportunities. In 2011 there were less than 10 schools in NYC with competitive debate teams.  We were founded to change this. Today, there are over 100 schools with debate teams and over 2000 NYC students participate in debate each year.  These accomplishments are all because of volunteers and donors like you.  So please consider supporting NYC youth by donating to the New York City Urban Debate League so we can start debate teams at more schools.  CLICK HERE TO DONATE or learn about more ways you can support our mission by emailing us at [email protected] or calling us at 917-455-1079. Thank you!
