JANUARY TOURNAMENT RESULTS!

This week we celebrate the first tournaments of the New Year!  We first thank the Mayor of New York City for kicking off the 2015 Debate Season by visiting our January 10th Tournament at Brooklyn Technical High School!  So many of our debaters are interested in careers in government, law, public service, and advocacy and so it was so inspiring for everyone to listen to the Mayor's remarks during our Opening Ceremony and have the opportunity to speak and take pictures with Mayor de Blasio after his presentation!

We would also like to give a huge shout out to the NYC Department of Education for supporting debate in NYC schools. Click here for an inspiring video about the Middle School Quality Initiative Debate Tournament #2 and our partnership with the NYC Department of Education to bring debate to over 100 new schools.

Finally, we would also like to give a huge shout out to all our 2014 supporters who donated in 2014 to make debate possible for thousands of NYC youth.  And it is never too late to donate!  Our goal is to double the number of New York City schools with debate teams from last year and we need your support to make this happen!  Click here to support our mission that every school should have a debate team and every student should have access to the best debate education opportunities.

What better way to start 2015 off with 5 different debate tournaments! Thank you to everyone for making this possible!!

Sincerely,

THE NEW YORK CITY URBAN DEBATE LEAGUE
