Dear Clients,
I consider myself fortunate. I have been on my own since I was 16, fully supporting myself. Due to family circumstances that one might call "unfortunate", it gave me the drive to succeed. What other choice did I have? I finished high school at night, worked a full-time job at a vet hospital during the day, and lived in a tent, with my only transportation, my yellow Schwinn 10 speed bike, riding over 20 miles a day. I learned to take a chance because I had to. I didn't have a choice. It gave me incredible strength, and I realized how empowered I could be.
I think within each of us lies these incredible talents and gifts. Life can sometimes swallow us up with routines of work, family and overwhelming responsibilities. When you admire another person for the talents they have, it does not mean they are more creative than you, smarter than you, or lucky. They have taken a chance to feed their soul. The untapped possibilities lie within each of us, if we would only take that chance. It's easy to become complacent and "stuck" in our daily life. But what if someone told you that the world would end in a year. How would you live your life? We never know how much time we have on this earth. Why not make the most of it, and explore your hidden passions and talents? What is that little voice inside telling you?
I always say that is God speaking. Are we listening or ignoring it? Life has incredible possibilities for all of us no matter what your background, heritage of financial state might be, we all have it within us. Don't let fear hold you back. What are you doing to nourish your spirit and your soul? Only when we do that can we be fully whole.
What is something you have wanted to do, explore or even start a small business doing? I want to hear about it when you do. Go ahead, take a chance!
Much Love,
Adrienne (206) 542-7006

Regular grooming promotes better health for your cat and less matting. Cats mat. It is a fact. Whether long hair of short hair, purebred or domestic, they get matted over time. While regular grooming will help to prevent the mats, the best defense is a thorough degreasing bath and blow dry. This is where the professional groomer comes in.
Cats are oily and they shed. Combine these two together and you will get a mat. Regular grooming provides comfort and less stress for the cat. It is also less expensive for the owner. We expect to do regular stripping of the undercoat, but if you have not been in for a long time it is extra work for us. Time equals money. Extra stripping=more money. Don't wait until your cat is in bad shape before you bring it in. A longhaired cat produces a new undercoat every 6 weeks. We recommend they come in every 6 weeks. A medium or shorthaired cat can usually get away with 8 weeks.

Some of you may not know this but, we express every cat's anal sacs every time they are in to see us in the bath. This is a very foul odor. They are two little sacs that lie on either side and just below the anus. They collect waste products in them and can cause discomfort. The better the diet the cat is on, the less waste products they will accumulate. If you smell a foul odor at home but don't see anything, or see your cat licking the anal area, that is what it is. It is quite possibly the worst smell in the world. I always say it should be on the TV show Fear Factor. We have been shot in the face with them, they have exploded on the wall and...well, you get it. One of the many benefits of regular grooming!

The Chinese Li Hua (pronounced "Lee Wah"), is one of the earliest known breeds of domestic cats native to China. They are a sturdy, well-proportioned natural breed with gentle, even dispositions. There is a spectacular contrast and clarity of the brown mackerel tabby pattern. To learn more visit www.cfainc.org. Or visit a CFA show in Washington to see one. (photo courtesy of www.cfa.org)
