Israel Shabbaton with Rabbi Miri Gold

Rabbi Gold, of our sister congregation in Israel, will be lifting our Israel Shabbaton with her warmth and wisdom.

 

Friday, May 2nd at 8:00 pm

Join us for our "Late at 8" Shabbat Experience."  Rabbi Gold's reflections on "Liberal Judaism in Israel: How Far We've Come and How Far We Have to Go" will be woven into a meaningful musical program highlighting Israeli and traditional composers. Desserts and coffee will be served during the program. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine.

At Torah Study, Rabbi Gold will teach on the topic of "Israel in our Torah and Prayers," as we prepare to celebrate Yom Haatzmaut and Israel at 66.

At Seudah Shlishit (the traditional Shabbat afternoon gathering), Rabbi Gold invites you to a parlor meeting to learn about her vision for Birkat Shalom and for the new Temple home her members are building. For more information, email Dr. Kelly Wilson Here.

May 1st at 7 pm - The Shalom Park Freedom School will be showing the PBS documentary From Swastika to Jim Crow

Community commemoration of Israel Memorial Day, remembering those who gave their lives so the state of Israel can exist today.

 

Yom Ha'atzmaut Celebration - Monday, May 5th, 6:30 pm in Gorelick Hall

Experience Israel Independence Day with a special musical performance by the band CAPAIM who bring their love of Israeli music to the stage.

Community Shabbat Service Followed by a Festive Oneg

Join us for this special and memorable Shabbat celebration of our teens.  Our clergy will be joined on the bima by TBE Song Leaders, Teen Band, and Teen Vocal Ensemble members past and present. Reflections on our madrichim program will be shared through jewTuBE videos as we share our successes and our commitment to building up our Steven Gainsboro Teen Educator Fund and our new Madrichim Endowment for the future.  Click Here to show your support and made a donation in honor of our amazing teens.
