Saturday, March 8th at 6 PM through Sunday, March 9th at 9 AM.  Dance with DJ, and Raffle Fundraiser! RSVP by Wednesday March 5th Here.  Cost: $25 for dinner and dance, $5 for lock-in.

 
Want to come to a kallah, but worried about the cost? Temple Beth El 

has AVODAH hours for you!  For each AVODAH hour that you complete, Temple Beth El will contribute $7.50 toward a Kallah registration or the bus-it's your choice!  The next opportunity:

  • Earn 2.5 Hours helping at the Temple Beth El Gift Shop Sunday, 8:30-11:00 AM.  Email Dara Gever, Director of Youth Engagement Here to sign up and earn money for upcoming youth programs of your choice.

Every year the Temple Beth El Caring Community delivers Purim bags to our senior congregants age 75+.  If you are interested in baking hamentashen, donating fruit or candy, or delivering the bags to 8-10 congregants during the March 10-15 timeframe, please volunteer.  Contact Karen Greenblatt Here.

Purim Congregational Dinner

Join us for a Purim Congregational Dinner.  Wearing costumes is welcomed! We will conclude the dinner with a Tot parade from services into the sanctuary for our Congregational Shabbat Service.  Member Discount Price: $10/adult and $6/children under 12, Regular Price: $12/adult and $8/Children under 12. Children under 3 are always free.  Bring your own bottle of wine if you'd like.   RSVP Here by 5:00 on Wednesday, March 12th.

 

Community Shabbat Service and Purim Shpiel
Friday, March 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm
We will welcome Shabbat as we do each week with our beautiful liturgy. We will conclude the service with a celebratory Megillah Reading and Purim Shpiel as our Temple Beth El prime time players boldly go where no Jews have gone before and offer a Star Trek inspired Purim celebration.  The evening will conclude with Hamantashen at our Oneg Shabbat.

Sunday, March 16, 3:30 PM @ TBE

Fulfill the mitzvah of reading the Book of Esther and celebrate Purim with an appropriate beverage. BYOB and there will be some libations selected by Rabbi Jonathan.

Begin as a Shalom Park Community for a Mama Doni Concert from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Sam Lerner Center for Cultural Arts.   Enjoy healthy snacks, appetizers, and funky music with a Jewish twist sponsored by The Charlotte Jewish Preschool, Temple Beth El, Temple Israel, the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and the Levine Jewish Community Center.

 

Continue on to Beth El for our Family Shabbat Service at 6:00 pm in our Blumenthal Sanctuary with an interactive and engaging service that is geared toward grade-school families. Don't worry if you are late due to the concert.
