Charlotte Civic Orchestra Concert
Sunday February 23rd at 3:30 pm at Temple Beth El

 

Join the Charlotte Civic Orchestra in "A Symphony and a Movie" concert conducted by Dr. Geoffrey Whitehead.  Selections will include the majestic Brahms Symphony No. 2, a silent movie comedy entitled "Never Weaken" with a new original musical score composed by Dean Kluesner. Also included in the performance will be beloved theme from the "Exodus" movie. Delightful family entertainment awaits you!  Tickets prices are $15, $12 for seniors and students, and $35 for families and may be purchased at the door or visiting the website Here.

Classes meet on three consecutive Wednesdays, February 5th, 12th, & 26th from 7:00-9:00 pm.  Join Rabbi Jonathan and Sara Bryan Markovits for a multi-media exploration of the Jewish imagination's expression into the realm of superheroes.

Every year the Temple Beth El Caring Community delivers Purim bags to our senior congregants age 75+.  If you are interested in baking hamentashen, donating fruit or candy, or delivering the bags to 8-10 congregants during the March 10-15 timeframe, please volunteer.  Contact Karen Greenblatt

March Madness Youth Fundraiser

Support our outstanding youth programs by purchasing a March Madness bracket!  Before March 1st, the cost is 1 bracket for $10, and 3 for $20.  Purchase them Here.

 

Kindergarten-3rd grade families

Sign up for our KATANTY k/1 and 2/3 Movie and Havdallah on Saturday, 2/15 from 4:00-6:30 in Silverman Social Hall.  The event is FREE with youth group registration.  RSVP online by Wednesday, 2/12 at 5:00 PM Here.

 

Shalom Park High Schoolers

Join the Teen Coalition for Shabbat on Feb. 21st from 5:30-8:15 PM in Lerner Hall Special presentation by Israeli Soldiers.  $5.00 in advance, $8.00 at the door. Register at the Levine JCC Front Desk (704.366.5007) by Feb 19th.  

 
Want to come to a kallah, but worried about the cost? Temple Beth El 

has AVODAH hours for you!  For each AVODAH hour that you complete, Temple Beth El will contribute $7.50 toward a Kallah registration or the bus-it's your choice!  The next opportunity:

  • Earn 2.5 Hours helping at the Temple Beth El Gift Shop Sunday, 8:30-11:00 AM.  Email Dara Gever, Director of Youth Engagement Here to sign up and earn money for upcoming youth programs of your choice.
