To Our Congregational Family:
As 2014 draws to a close, it is worth noting our achievements in the past 12 months. We celebrated Temple Beth El's 70th anniversary and adopted new bylaws. Investment returns from our endowment were robust and we led all Shalom Park Partners with 36 planned gifts through the Create a Jewish Legacy program.
Last Spring, we also took a major step forward by instituting the Sacred Gifts program, a total rethinking of the old dues structure for the first time in our history. As part of the program, the Board is accountable for reporting at the calendar year-end on how everything is going. I am pleased to report that our financial footing is sound and we're at or near budget in most major categories. The 2013-2014 goal for Sacred Gifts from congregants is $1,522,000, and to date we have commitments for $1,501,275, or 98% of budget.
This is excellent news, of course, and we appreciate everyone's support. The Board and staff are doing everything possible to ensure that Temple remains fiscally fit and well positioned for current and future generations. As you know from your own households and businesses, there are always needs beyond what has been budgeted. If you are able, please consider making an additional year-end gift to the Temple. Thank you.
I wish all a very happy New Year and look forward to another year of growth and prosperity within the Temple family.
Warm Regards,
Rick
