Our Temple family is joining with the Charlotte Jewish community this month in taking a stand against domestic abuse. Join us by wearing a purple pin, by learning more HERE, and by attending two special programs:

Haftarah Trope Class
Cantor Bernard will offer a four-week class on chanting Haftarah - the Books of the Prophets. Designed primarily for b'nei mitzvah madrichim who have previously studied Torah trope, anyone with some background in chanting from our sacred texts is welcome to attend. There is no cost but participants are asked to contact Julie Dalli at jdalli@beth-el.com if you plan to attend. (Note: a ten-week course on Torah and Haftarah trope for beginners will start at the end of February.)
Teen Band
If you are interested in joining our wonderful Teen Band this season, please contact Cantor Bernard as soon as possible so he can prepare music for your instrument. Teen Band plays at our Saturday morning Congregational Shabbat Services monthly October through May. In addition, Teen Band will participate in Temple Beth El's final 70th Anniversary Celebration in November when we will be hosting the president of the Reform movement, Rabbi Rick Jacobs.
