Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem! 

Our holy city is filled with physical light as there is an impressive light festival with dozens of light installations brightening the Old City. Our Temple Beth El group is enjoying the work of an international array of artists. Our holy city is filled with spiritual light as it houses the spectacular sacred sites and welcomes pilgrims of so many faiths.  We are all enjoying connecting to the past of our people as we find meaning in the present and dream about our future.

As the new moon of Tammuz appears on Saturday night, may the expanding light that the growing moon offers inspire us, each in our own way, to brighten our world.
