Medi-Cal 101 Seminar, Saturday, September 6, 1 pm to 2:30 pm
Medi-Cal is a maze of complex rules and regulations.
If you embark upon this process alone, you may be found ineligible for the program until the "look back" period has ended. Or, you may inadvertently impoverish a spouse and place your estate at risk for recovery of monies paid by Medi-Cal.
The Good News...You can avoid this including a claim against your home and assets.
Under the Affordable Care Act, anyone who is over 55 and who receives Medi-Cal, not just for a nursing home, is subject to estate recovery. There are exceptions to this rule.
