By now, most of you have had an opportunity to see, hear and form an opinion about the recent announcements coming from the Healthcare Chaplaincy. I'd like to take this opportunity to respond to several questions I have received.

Watch you email in coming days for a packet of materials to read prior to our meeting in Denver. These materials are intended to stimulate your thinking, to invite conversation, and to let us hit the ground running when we gather for Shaping our Future: Transformational Leadership! In addition, we will include a link to a discussion board on our website for members to post thoughts, hopes and dreams for ACPE. We can't wait to see you in Denver!

grants awarded
In April, the trustees of the Price Gilbert, Jr. Charitable Fund approved a $7,500 grant to equip ACPE's new digital classroom. This award follows a $5,000 grant in December 2015 from the Mary Allan Lindsey Branan Foundation for the same purpose. These funds, combined with the $25,000 grant from the F.I.S.H. Foundation, sets ACPE well our way to providing richer distance learning opportunities and expanding ACPE's multi-faith curriculum offerings through the online ACPE Academy. We hope to receive additional funding to round out the total cost of this project-and hope that we have received this good news in time for our Annual Conference in Denver!
You are invited to submit a workshop proposal for the 2017 ACPE Annual Conference.

The theme of the conference is "What We Need is Here" inspired by the poem by Wendell Berry. It will be held in Minneapolis, MN, April 29-May 6, 2017. ACPE will also celebrate its 50th Anniversary at this annual conference.
