By David Carl, Organizational Design Work Group Chair
ACPE is evaluating our national structure to best position us for the future. We can't do that without your help. There are multiple avenues for your voice to be heard: First, introducing ACPExchange* - an online community where ACPE members can engage colleagues in ways that build the work of the association in service to its members. The Organizational Design Work Group will host online discussions to give every member a chance to participate. Each week we will post a different question focused on 'why'; why we exist, why ACPE is important. Your engagement in the conversations around these questions is essential to the work group's efforts. The first questions will be posted Monday, August 3. New questions will be posted each week into September. We will send out a "News You Can Use" each Monday to remind you to join the discussion on each topic. Participation is entirely voluntary, but our desire is a robust, engaged process and that means your input is critical and valued. The second place you can participate in the conversation about the future is at the regional meetings this fall. We will host a town meeting at each regional conference to gather responses and feedback around the future as we work to clarify the ideas, hopes and dreams of the members for the direction of this process and of ACPE. The Board of Representatives selected Donna Dunn of Tecker International to help us in this process. The Organizational Design Work Group needs your help. We want your input. Even if you can't attend a regional conference, please join the discussion online every week. * To access ACPExchange, visit the ACPE website. Hover your mouse on My ACPE on the main navigation bar, select My Communities from the dropdown menu. You will be prompted for your credentials if you are not already logged-in. Select ACPExchange from the list of available communities. If you need assistance logging-in, please call the national office at (404) 320-1472. |
