The ACPE National Office Staff wants to say thank you for supporting our move! We are loving the new space, open concept floor plan, natural light, and location. We cannot wait for you to see our new space in person, but for the time being we wanted to give everyone a look inside our new space with a thank you video. Thank you again for your support and we hope to see you soon!

As part of my D.Min program in 1996, I participated in a weeklong intensive program at Christ College at Oxford University. I had never been out of the country before and this gave Susan and me a chance to see England and Scotland during a tour prior to my study week. As any good tourist, I loaded up my fanny pack with 35 mm film and took plenty of pictures. When we returned home and had the film developed I was astounded at how many poor pictures I had taken. In fact, there were only several photos that stood out. Amazingly, Stonehenge was one of those snapshots.

By Bill Scrivener, Annual Campaign Chair
Our regions have begun holding the fall meetings. At those meetings, the Annual Campaign CHAMPION who represents your region will be encouraging you to give so that your regional membership will be well represented among the other regions as we seek 100% membership giving. Your Champion will be able to answer any questions you may have about the Annual Campaign. While operating needs are helped by what we are able to raise, a minimum of 20% of the amount will go toward funding creative and new CPE programs in contexts where CPE has not existed but deserves to be present.
This year the Program Awards Committee received a record number of proposals for innovative CPE projects ranging from research to international to projects across the USA. In order to fund these worthy projects, we need your gift, no matter the amount.
Please look for an opportunity at your regional meeting to give if you have not done so already. You can also donate online. |

We hope you are enjoying and utilizing the upgrades to the ACPE website. We continue to make improvements and edits based on your feedback.
Did you know that the online directories now allow members to upload a profile picture? Uploading a profile picture is a great way to learn about and connect with other members of the ACPE community. And while you are logged into your profile, verify and update your contact and personal information. Because of our commitment to attracting, developing, and advancing a diverse membership, we are now collecting demographic information such as gender, race, faith group and age. This information is confidential and will not be published. Nor is it required. It is only collected for statistical purposes to track the association's progress of achieving a diverse membership. The dates of the multi-faith tour are January 30, 2015 - February 6, 2015. For more information, contact Marc Medwed, Program Manager.

Reflective Practice is a professional journal that provides a forum to promote critical reflection on formation and supervision in ministry in various contexts and from diverse faith traditions.
Our 2015 issue, (Volume 35) has adopted the theme of the Narrative Perspective.
In recent decades we have witnessed greater attention to the role and importance of story in a variety of disciplines. In psychotherapy for example, narrative therapy has emerged as a distinctive approach to the understanding and healing of persons. We who are responsible for the formation and supervision of religious professionals resonate with this emphasis. We know that most original religious literature comes in the form of story and stories. We know the importance of story and storytelling in ministry formation.
