A Message from the Annual Campaign Chair-Elect

By William (Bill) Scrivener
I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve as the 2013 Chair-elect of our Annual Campaign, Sowing Seeds for Our Holy Work. I'm also pleased to be working with Miriam Needham, the 2012-2013 Chair. Our goal is to encourage fuller participation in the campaign by the ACPE membership, because the FCPE offers the best opportunity for ACPE to grow and to fulfill its mission. I have been in leadership in ACPE for many years, and I am gratified to have the opportunity to serve in this very important work.

Contact Information for AG CPE Students
|
During the last five years, the Assemblies of God Chaplaincy Department has become aware that there is an increasing number of AG adherents enrolled in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Generally speaking, these adherents are men and women who have an interest in military and institutional chaplaincy and recognize the value of CPE in achieving their vocational goals. In view of this positive trend, the AG Chaplaincy Department is seeking the help of ACPE supervisors in establishing a communication channel with both current and future AG CPE students. The basis for our interest in these students is to make them aware of the services the AG Chaplaincy Department can provide that will facilitate their entry into chaplaincy ministry.

PROFESSIONAL CHAPLAINCY AND CPE TRAINING WITH WENDY CADGE
May 23, 1:00 - 2:00 EDT
In this webinar we will think together about what professional chaplains need to know and how CPE training is preparing them to know it. Participants will be asked to read a chapter from Dr. Cadge's new book "Paging God" (published in February, 2013) about the history of professional chaplaincy before the webinar and submit a thought or question to the speaker. The presentation will be based largely on the questions submitted. That chapter will be circulated to registrants via email in advance of the webinar.
