At Mark Twain, we are proud of our story and the characters at the center of it all, our children. Over the past 25 years, the Literary Development Center (LDC) program has become the cornerstone of our school's continuing narrative.  The LDC program nurtures our children's academic development as well as their personal growth.

Now is the time to ensure the future success of Mark Twain's strong literary focus. Our  "Paddles Up for Literacy" is a major fundraising effort to ensure that our children and community will continue to benefit from the outstanding programs Mark Twain offers.

Our community fosters students of the world- students who are caring and compassionate and exemplify all the attributes our IB program instills. Literature is an integral component of this community. Through our literary programs, our children are able to dream, study, think critically, and write passionately. The literary programs at our school are supported by maintaining and updating the school library, the LDC libraries, classroom books, IB books, the classroom iPads, and by providing funds for expert literary consultants. Our classroom books allow children to read together and support our IB curriculum, and the classroom iPads enable children to discover new ideas about literature.

Our school is truly special; it is a safe haven for our children. Mark Twain strengthens the minds, bodies, and spirits of the students. Today is the time to step up and keep our literacy curriculum and programs strong. Step up to support literacy in our programs; support our school, our community, and your children.

Thank you!
