Welcome to the start of another great school year at Mark Twain Elementary. Join us on Thursday for Mark Twain's annual back to school event - the Rumble!
 
Your children can meet their teachers in their classrooms between 4:30 and 6:00 pm.  You can  get a jump start on the year and complete the following:
  • Purchase school supplies
  • Sign up to include your contact and child's classroom information in Twain's printed and online Directory. Learn more here.
  • Support Mark Twain with a contribution to our annual fundraising campaign called the Friends and Family Campaign. Your generosity makes an immediate and lasting impact on our school. Learn more here.
  • Register as an HISD volunteer. To volunteer at Mark Twain in any capacity, you need to register through the HISD program called Volunteers in Public Schools Program (VIPS). Learn more here. 
  • Learn about this year's volunteer-led activities, clubs, and events and how you can volunteer to help make them a success.
  • Sign up for Extended Day, the after school care program
Join us after the Rumble for the year's first Spirit Night.  Enjoy dining at Candelari's or JerryBuilt on Holcombe Blvd. and these restaurants will donate 20% of your purchase to the Mark Twain PTO.

Calling all Twain parents!  We need volunteers to help set-up, serve as greeters, help pull uniforms, and serve as cashiers. The shifts are designed to give you time to meet your teacher(s) and browse the informational tables. Please sign up at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0A4BAEA82AAA8-mark.
