Dear Mark Twain Parents and Families,
Welcome back from Spring Break albeit a week late. We had a grand time with friends and family (minus the flat on the freeway en route back from a white sand beach in Florida). The break has really shown me how quickly time flies; one day until April. All of your parents were right when they told you "enjoy this time with your kids. They grow up so fast," over and over again, when you entered into the parent arena. I hope everyone had the chance to spend some time with your family, are recharged and ready for the final push until summer.
Don't forget that the Spring Holiday is Friday, April 3 so there is no school.
I would like to invite you all to attend the next PTO meeting on Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria to learn more about current happenings at Mark Twain.
Also, please plan to attend the Mark Twain International Festival on Saturday, April 11. The kids really enjoy the music, the amazing food, and especially learning about each country represented at our great school.
Special thanks to Amy Allen for another outstanding book drive. She and the community do such a great job every year helping those in need.
April is a very busy, busy month! Please remember to enjoy time with your children and family. The days really seem to fly by.

The eighth grade student had been to a sleepover after the last lacrosse game. Arriving home, he headed to the kitchen and then stopped dead in his tracks. Eyes wide, he was confronted with posts from a Facebook page - HIS Facebook page - from the previous day and night taped to the refrigerator. It wasn't pretty. He turned to his mom, who calmly asked him to hand her the pages. She then read them aloud, one ... by one. When finished, she handed them back to her son and asked, "Is this who YOU are? Is this who YOU want to be?" ............................................................ JOIN THE +MOVEMENT: www.positivethinkingworks.orgVISIT OUR +HUB: http://positiveworks.uberflip.com/h/
