Dear Mark Twain Community,

The PTO Executive Board voted to make a few changes to the PTO By-laws.  In order to keep fresh, energetic ideas and people moving through the entire board, we voted to lessen the burden on a couple of the positions.

The most glaring change will be creating a President Elect position.  This will enable the President to divide some of his/her responsibilities, but more importantly mentor to the incoming President.  Some other changes revolve around fundraising and how it is chaired.  A few other changes were made to better reflect the evolution of programs and positions.

Please click here to view the PTO By-laws. In order for the changes to the by-laws to take effect, we need to conduct a vote at the PTO Board meeting on Wednesday, February 11 at 6:30 pm in the library.  If you are a voting member of the board but will not attend, please email your proxy to Megan Rose.

Great communities foster great schools.  We have both, and I am happy to be a part of it.

Best regards,
Tony Houck
PTO President
