As most of you know by now, Dr. Barbara Rask, our strings teacher for over 20 years, was recently diagnosed with cancer.  She is currently working with doctors from MD Anderson to determine a treatment course.

By now, you may also have heard that Mr. Bonn, one of our 4th grade teachers, had a heart attack earlier in the summer.

While it is early in Dr. Rask's diagnosis, and Mr. Bonn is recovering, we want to reach out to the Mark Twain community in the hopes that we can provide some support to both of our beloved teachers during this difficult time.

To that end, the PTO is establishing two (2) funds: one that Dr. Rask and her family can use for incidental expenses that invariably arise during the course of treatment and one for Mr. Bonn and his family to use for any expenses related to his recovery.
