A Chance to give a Gift and Recognize a Teacher

A huge thank you to all who volunteered with the PTO this year.  From cultural arts assemblies, school store, staff breakfasts, attending monthly PTO meetings, making casseroles and much more, we all pulled together to provide many wonderful opportunities for the students and staff of TEMS.  Wishing you a relaxing summer break.  For those of you moving on to high school, best of luck and for those returning families, see you soon.  Enjoy!

-The  TEMS PTO Hospitality Committee Needs Your Help...
The TEMS PTO is hosting a Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, June 20th.  Thank you to our wonderful teachers for another fantastic school year.  If you are interested in volunteering and providing any food for the luncheon, please email Barbara Schiff at barbara@schiffmarketing.com and she will forward you the volunteer sign up.

What's Happening Around School...
-Summer Reading Lists are out!
The TEMS Summer Reading Lists are posted. You can visit the TEMS website front page to access information or click this link. CHS Reading list link. Remember you can use the TEMS PTO Amazon link found on the TEMS PTO website when you purchase these books. TEMS PTO will earn a percentage from your purchase of any kind!
On October 19th, TEMS will host poet, educator, and New York Times Bestselling author, Kwame Alexander in a visit made possible by your TEMS PTO. Help your students get the most out of this visit by having them read one or more of Kwame Alexander's books.THE CROSSOVER is required summer reading for 7th and 8th Graders and the author will sign books during his visit.



-Summer Math Packets are Now Available-
As a review of previously taught content, optional summer math practice is available on your school TEMS website.  Follow the steps below to register on the website and be directed to the Summer Math section. In that section, find the course you were enrolled in for the 2015-2016 school year and download or print the attachment. 

-Fall Sports at TEMS-
Believe it or not, it's not too early to begin thinking about fall
sports!  Fall meetings and practices begin very shortly after students return to
school.  All students are required to have PIAA Participation paperwork and ImPACT testing completed before participating in a school sport. Please visit our TEMS Athletics website for more information about our programs, includingall required permission forms for participation. Note that fall schedules will be updated throughout the summer. link
Summer is the perfect time to take care of sports paperwork so you can avoid the
back-to-school rush at the doctor's office!  Please note that Section 6 of the
PIAA Participation paperwork MUST be completed by a physician, and the
Authorized CIPPE date at the bottom MUST be May 30, 2015 or later.  Alternate
forms from a physical exam will not be accepted in lieu of Sec

-From the Principal- null
T/E Middle School is undergoing significant construction and HVAC upgrades this summer.  The main entrance and office will remain open all summer, but 
the remainder of the building may not be accessible to students and parents until the middle of August.
