PSSA Information...
The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) consists of standardized tests that are administered to public school students in the state of Pennsylvania.  This year, there will be testing at TEMS on the following dates:  4/12 - 4/15 English Language Arts, 4/19 - 4/21 Math, and 4/27 - 4/28 Science (Grade 8 only).  Students will attend all 8 periods of their normal schedule on these days, but each period will be shortened to accommodate a testing session during the day. Students are encouraged to try their best on the PSSA!

The TEMS PTO Needs YOU...
The PTO is looking for volunteers to fill positions for the 2016-2017 school year.  This is a wonderful opportunity to become involved at TEMS.  There is something to fit everyone's schedule.  Please consider volunteering your time and talents.  Below is a list of open positions.  Any questions about the positions or if you would like to volunteer, please contact Tricia Jennings at tjennings99@verizon.net or 610-687-9845.  Thank you for your consideration.

We Need Your Help...
We have 2 big events coming up to show our thanks to our wonderful teachers.  
Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 3 and the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon will be June 20th. We will need lots of help so if you are interested in joining the hospitality committee,  and providing something,  please email Barbara Schiff at barbara@schiffmarketing.com.

Attention 8th Grade Parents...
Thanks to all those that have emailed pictures! At this point, we are asking those who have not emailed or sent in pictures to please submit hard copies, 2"x3" in size, to school office to "Attention of Tracey Prestipino."  Any questions, please contact Tracey Prestipino at traceyprest@comcast.net.
Next meeting for the  8th Grade Recognition Committee is Monday, April 18th, 9-11am in cafeteria.

What's Happening Around School...
-Kudos Korner-
Congratulations to 8th graders Faith A. and Valerie D. for placing 2nd in the Chester County Science Fair. Their award-winning entry focused on candy chromatography. Way to go!


-Autism Awareness Day-
Autism Awareness day is Friday, April 15th.  Pretzels and juice boxes will be sold for $1 each after school and ribbons will also be sold for $1 each in the morning, during lunches and after school.  Students are encouraged to also wear blue on Friday. Link to flyer for raffle.

-Yearbook Orders-
Just a few weeks left to order the 2016 Yearbook! Cost of each book is now $31. Copies are limited and will be available for purchase until Saturday, May 7, 2016. Purchases can be made through the TEMS website, atwww.jostens.com, or by Mrs. Matilla in Room 204. (Only checks made payable to TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL will be accepted for in-school orders)

T & E Care Clothing Grab Bag....

T & E Cares Annual Clothing Grab Bag will be on Friday, April 15 (2:00-6:00) and Saturday, April 16 (9:00-noon). The location is St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 600 Walker Rd, Wayne. There will be a Teen Pop-Up Shop for Girls this year! Teen girls are encouraged to come and select some great clothing.  
This is a fundraiser and donations of $10/bag are encouraged, but not required. Bags will be provided. This event is OPEN TO THE ENTIRE community!!!  Anyone who wants to get a great deal is welcome! Link to flyer.
