Attention 7th and 8th Graders wanting to play TEMS Fall sports...

In order for a student to be eligible to participate in PIAA sports, he/she must meet the eligibility requirements as outlined on our athletic program form. Students and parents must also complete all the necessary forms. These forms, which are available in the main office or link to forms, must be returned to the school office before a student can participate in a school sport. Completed Fall 2015 forms should be returned to the athletic office by Friday, September 5.

ImPACT Testing...
All student/athletes playing an "impact" sport (all except track & field) must complete an ImPACT concussion baseline test before participating. Athletes are required to complete one such baseline test during their middle school years.ImPACT tests will be administered in the TEMS library after school on September 3, 8, and 9 from 2:30-3:30. Any student who is planning to play an "impact" sport at TEMS and who has not already taken the ImPACT test, should plan on taking the test on one of these dates. Signup sheets will be available during lunches. Students should make arrangements for a ride home at 3:30 pm on whichever date they select. The two-page ImPACT testing consent form must be completed and returned to the athletic office before the test may be administered. Please see Mrs. Morris with any questions. More information about the ImPACT test can be found at:
http://www.impacttest.com

From the Principal...
As the Principal of T/E Middle School, I write to ask for your assistance in helping us ensure a safe environment for all of our employees.
We have an employee in our building that has a particular sensitivity to eucalyptus. The best way to provide a safe environment for this employee is to enlist the support of our employees and students to make the school environment as free of eucalyptus and products that contain eucalyptus as possible. Products that commonly contain eucalyptus are lotions, insect repellents, and cough drops... Accordingly, we are asking for your cooperation in decreasing or eliminating use of products which contain eucalyptus with your child.
We appreciate your support in minimizing the risk of allergic reaction to our employee.

Thank you in advance for your efforts,
Andy Phillips
