Confirmation
It is not a point of arrival... it is not a rite of passage... it is not a graduation... it is not an end to something but in fact the very beginning. Confirmation means to "make firm" what you believe. When one joins the church of Jesus Christ, you embark on a journey that will last a lifetime! These confirmands have been instructed in the Christian faith... but not completely. In many respects the day of one's confirmation is a day of commencement. It means commencing to walk intentionally in the Way of The Lord... to follow the Shepherd... to proclaim Jesus as one's Lord and Savior... to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ but to live the Gospel in such a way that others will know you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. As these young people take their vows of faith and church membership, we, their community of faith, will also renew our vows of faith and membership in the Church of Jesus Christ and Trinity United Methodist Church. It takes a church community to raise a child of God. Church! Let us continue to raise the children! If we don't, who will?
Appreciation to Andrew Springman and Wendy Robinson, and all the mentors who helped to lead these students in the last 15 weeks.
See you in Church!

~OTHER STUFF & SAVE THE DATES!~

CROS is seeking host families that would be willing to house interns for approximately an 8-10 week period of time. They are college students who range from ages 19-28 years old. They are coming from around the state of Florida to serve on the Camp Team this Summer. Families can choose whether they would like a young man or young woman. The family is required to provide housing and laundry for the student. Meals are optional, but they would need to be able to prepare their own. Interns are arriving May 28th and will be returning August 10th. Some of this time will be residential training and camp.
Summer Interns needed for CROS Camps! We are seeking 13 young and talented men and women to serve as part of our Day Camp Program. Our program runs from June 10th-August 10th with a week prior to the start of camp for training. Our camp program takes place in Delray Beach, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, and Pahokee. We serve campers who come from low-income households who are in K-5th grades.
The link below shows all the guidelines and the application process to be part of our summer program.
