ODJFS Webinar now available!

In November 2013, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) held regional information meetings for Type B Home providers across the state of Ohio.
Information discussed included:

·  Transition from county professional certification to state licensure for Type B Home providers

·  Rule revisions effective January 1, 2014 for   Type B Home Providers

·   Family Child Care participation in Step Up To Quality (SUTQ)

 

Type B Home providers and those considering becoming a licensed Type B Home provider will find the information in this online webinar session helpful, especially if you were unable to attend one of the meetings.

Attention: Family Child Care Providers who need child development training...Look Here: Preschool teachers/childcare staff who need Step Up to Quality training.  The CCRC is offering 6 to 12 hours of FREE training in Huron County on January 18 & February 1.  LeMath Activities!arn about Math  for your preschoolers from 9:00 am-12:00 pm or gain ideas for Science from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.  Attend for just the morning or afternoon session for 6 hours of training.  Attend all day and earn 12 hours of training over just 2 days at no cost!  These trainings are part of the Ohio Early Learning & Development Standards series of trainings (Level 2 trainings).  To register for the Math session on 1/18 & 2/1/14, click here now.  To register for the Science session on 1/18 & 1/25/14, click here now.

Need Communicable Diseases, Child Abuse or First Aid & CPR trainings?  The CCRC has them! 

 

These health & safety trainings are required for nearly everyonHealth & Safety Scheduled in Februarye working with young children in their home or in a childcare center, preschool, or school.  New employees must first take the 6-hour initial classes.  Communicable Diseases and  Child Abuse trainings must be renewed every three years with a 3-hour refresher course.  First Aid & CPR must be renewed according to the expiration date on the certification card.  If you need these classes soon, don't miss the January & February sessions held at the CCRC.  For dates & times of our winter and spring trainings, see our flyer by clicking here now.
