The SCOOP
IT IS FINALLY HERE!

It's Here!  Early Learning & Development Standards Overview Training

The wait is finally over!  The CCRC is happy to announce the first of the new Early Learning & Development Standards (ELDS) trainings.  Unlike past documents, these new standards do not separate the infant & toddler guidelines and preschool standards.  So, these trainings are for anyone working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in:

  •       Childcare centers, prek
  •       Preschool programs,
  •       Family childcare homes,
  •       And other early care & education settings.

The first session is a 2-part overview of Ohio's new Early Learning & Development Standards that explains the history of early learning standards, the impact on children's readiness for school, the connection to actual classroom or family childcare practices, and the contents/structure of the ELDS.  We have scheduled this session several times and will add more as classes become full.

These sessions provide Child Development training hours for family childcare providers, SUTQ approved training, and are FREE of charge.

CCRC Workshop Flipbook
The CCRC converted it's workshop catalog into an interactive flipbook.  Now you can flip through the catalog while on the computer.  No need to print it out (unless you want too!) for staff.

Training, Cancellations, and YOUR Profile
When signing up for training on the Ohio Professional Development Registry don't let a FULL CLASS STOP you from signing onto the "Waiting List".  We will provide another training if we see that one is full and there is a waiting list.

Also, take time today to log in and update your information in the registry.  Make sure that your registry profile has your specific contact information,
NOT YOUR EMPLOYER'S information.  If a training is cancelled or messages are sent to registered participants you will not get the message unless you include:
  • your email address
  • cell phone number
  • address

If you have questions on the registry, how to update your profile or trainings offered please call Sarah Gatliff at 440-960-71874 x 230 or sgatliff@ccrcinc.com.  You can also visit the CCRC's Website for "How To Videos" about the registry.
