CACFP is the Child and Adult Care Food Program. 

How does the CCRC's CACFP help a child care center?

Participation in CACFP is a key indicator of high-quality child care.  This is a direct link between nutrition and health, and nutrition and learning, and the CACFP is a framework fro quality that helps centers meet the foo and nutrition needs of children.  CACFP participation supports high quality care by:

  • earn funds to buy healthy food
  • Teaching young children healthy eating habits
  • Increasing health and safety
  • Improving compliance with state licensing requirements pertaining to ratio and supervision
  • Funds available to purchase supplies and equipment.

OnCare
Automated Child Care Management System
OnCare Logo
Using a data management system, like OnCare frees up a lot of time by automating processes like attendance, family data, tuition billing and more.
  OnCare has a built in reconcile process for all subsidy or third-party tuition funding.  
The CCRC has secured a Lorain County subscription to OnCare at a reduced rate.  We would like to add interested child care programs (centers and homes) to this subscription to allow the CCRC to support your program in it's efforts to automate and free up your valuable time.
We will provide an introduction to OnCare in December 2012.

Shared Solutions Alliance
Shared Solutions Alliance
The Shared Solutions Alliance is a growing network of small early care and education programs that share costs and receive a set of administrative and program services provided by the alliance hub.  The CCRC serves as the hub  and recruits local providers to work together to deliver services in a streamlined and efficient way.
NEW Applications will be accepted starting January 2013.
