winter

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.

- Robert Frost

There's nothing quite like walking in the woods on a winter night to appreciate the wonder of winter. As nature sleeps, the frozen landscape is still and silent. Shades of muted light cast shadows on the snow, altering one's perception of objects, both familiar and unfamiliar. The woods on a winter's night are full of surprises too -- the other night while locking up our chickens, I heard a pair of owls at opposite ends of the estate communicate to each other in the frozen air. As a way to share the enjoyment of a winter's evening,  we invite you to join us at our first annual Mid-winter Evening Garden Tour - a night where we will blend landscape and lightscape to reveal a winter's night like youšve never seen it before.
