spring flowers

Finally, spring is here!
The monochrome landscape of winter -- beautiful in its own right -- is slowly transitioning to the full technicolor of spring!  Greens replace grays, touches of red and yellow replace black and brown. Each year, more than anything else, it's the colors of spring that awaken our imagination and anticipation of the newness that comes with this season.
With the official arrival of spring this week come increasing signs of new life all around us!  Even the bees have ventured outside in search of real food!  Spring is one of our busiest seasons here at the Wakefield estate, as the landscape comes back to life and creates many opportunities for land-based learning.  Whether you come to one of our many upcoming workshops or to enjoy a stroll through the apple orchard in its bloom, we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the beauty of this place.

See you soon!
