Good Luck!

Greetings!

Welcome to the winter e-newsletter developed by Foundation Innovation, LLC. We hope you will find this information useful to you as one who is involved and/or supportive of education foundations that support school systems. As we travel across the country working with education foundations, we  like to share some of the unique and best practices we have found. One is a mission-based event that celebrates student achievement - an academic recognition banquet.

As the new semester gets underway and class rankings become available for graduating seniors, it's the perfect time to begin preparations for an academic recognition banquet. The academic recognition banquet is a signature event that honors the top graduates of a school district and often additionally honors a teacher of each students' choosing who most influenced them.

This spring, Foundation Innovation will begin rolling out a new series of resources for education foundations called Power Tools. These are mini tool kits for very specific facets of the education foundation. Our first Power Tool is the Academic Recognition Banquet Power Tool, which includes a detailed approach to developing a banquet with step-by-step processes, samples and templates for customization to your foundation.

We are very excited about this new resource and to celebrate its release, we are having an Academic Recognition Banquet Power Tool give away. To enter, simply like us on Facebook and your name will be entered in the drawing. If you already like us on Facebook, don't worry, your name is already in the pot! Look for the announcement in February in conjunction with the Power Tool availability on our website for purchase.

Sincerely,

The Foundation Innovation Team

The Springfield Education Foundation hosted "A Night of 11,000 Stars" in October to celebrate and support the nearly 11,000 students attending Springfield Public Schools. This year, they doubled their sponsorship and exceeded their donation goal, raising $34,000 for their Annual Campaign. Students greeted, seated and thanked guests for their support of Springfield schools, and provided entertainment and culinary delights! Grant winning teachers and their students also made presentations about the impact of the STEM grant they received.

The Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation awarded grants in December. Check out this awesome video from the BEEF Patrol! It's amazing the impact grant dollars have on the teachers who want so much for their students!
