Kokua Mau Meeting & Holiday Party - January 28, 2016
Happy 2016!

We hope you can join us for our first Kokua Mau meeting of the year that will also be our holiday party.  Better late than never or just in time for Chinese/Lunar New Year.  We will have a short agenda with updates and then we'll have lots of time for networking.  This will be a potluck so bring something (anything) to share.  Back by popular demand, we'll be having a white elephant gift table so now is the time to pass along those items that someone else is sure to want!

Please notice that we will go on until 7pm so we hope you can drop in after work if you cannot come at the regular meeting time!

Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016
3pm-7pm
Conference Room 224
Weinberg Building
St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i
2226 Liliha Street in Honolulu

Parking is validated and click here for a map and further details.  Please RSVP to Jeannette so I can get a basic headcount (but you can certainly come even if you didn't RSVP.)  Now is a great chance to invite colleagues who have been wondering who and what Kokua Mau is.

Sneak peak:
Our speaker in February will be Kristin Lambert Bryant, Esq. She will cover the complicated topic: "Deciding What If?" Legal tools to plan for incapacity and transferring assets upon death.

With some very creative people, the Commission on Law and Aging created a smartphone app called My Health Care Wishes to give individuals and their family members the ability to store their own and each other's health care advance directives, key health information, and health care contacts on their Apple or Android smartphones, and to send advance directive documents directly to health care providers by email or Bluetooth.  www.MyHealthCareWishes.org
