Dr. Angelo Volandes and the ACP Decisions videos he helped to create are being used around the state to support professionals have conversations about goals of care and advance care planning.  He will speak at our Kokua Mau meeting today.

Will be selling Dr. Volandes' new book The Conversation: A Revolutionary Plan for End-of-life Care.  We will be offering it for the special price of only $15 for a signed copy. (Please note: cash only.) 

We also have great food and real coffee at the meeting today!

Angelo will give us an update on the ACP decision videos, especially the videos filmed in Hawaii with a local focus and presenters.  He will be showing clips of the latest videos soon to be released. Come for a sneak preview. He will also talk about and be available to autograph his latest book: "The Conversation: A Revolutionary Plan for End-of-life Care", just released by Bloomsbury Press. We are happy to welcome Dr. Volandes back to our Kōkua Mau Meeting.

POLST Training for APRNs and Physicians.

Kōkua Mau, Hawaii Hospice and Palliative Care Organization invites you to a 4 hour training for providers who are actually completing the POLST.
 
This interactive session will be a combination of lecture, video, case study and role play.  The faculty are experts from our Hawaii community, all with direct experience of discussing and completing POLST.
