VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
We are actively seeking a volunteer to take minutes at our monthly GALA board meetings. This involves attending the meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, at 7 p.m. in Gardner, taking notes of motions and decisions, writing up the minutes and distributing to board members. The time commitment is the monthly meeting and time it takes to prepare minutes for distribution. Please note that computer skills are a requirement.

James Trask at the Jaffrey Civic Center -Jaffrey, NH
| The Jaffrey Civic Center is pleased to exhibit the fine watercolors by James S Trask (deceased 2008) in the first floor Auditorium Gallery from June 6 through Saturday, July 5, 2014. A former forester of thirty-five years, he painted what he knew and surrounded him. The majority of this work is based on inspirations from the family woodlots which he inherited in the towns of Chesterfield and Swanzey, New Hampshire.

Grants available in painting, sculpture, printmaking, or mixed media to mid-career artists with financial need in New England and Columbia and Northeast Dutchess counties, NY. Non-profit organizations wishing to show, commission, or purchase work by mature artists living in New England may also apply. Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000.
