The hope is for a couple of hours capturing the scenery as only artists can, then convening for a gathering afterwards to gain perspective on the day's results. Please register by September 14th (click here). Directions will be sent upon receipt of your registration.

Greg Barry of Ashburnham
From jewelers and fashion, to woodworkers and paper workers, artists with a variety of interests comprise the 'Rejuvenation' exhibition.  Greg Barry of Ashburnham (above) is one of a dozen artists on exhibit who are enjoying the distinct pleasure of creatively reusing existing materials to give them a new life -- a rejuvenation of existing materials for completely new purposes.  Greg's large scale sculptures emerged out of the December 2008 Ice Storm which heavily impacted the region (including Petersham and the Art Center).  He creates delightful light sculptures out of heavy industrial materials recovered from that difficult event.  The materials -- which were headed to the landfill and freely given to Greg
are as sturdy as can be for his work.  Rather than end up taking up valuable space buried in a landfill, taking forever to breakdown, the materials in Greg's work add unexpected beauty to a landscape setting.
