Fiber Show Call for Artists-Townsend Meeting Hall Gallery
       "Fiber Explorations"  February 8 - March 24, 2013
All area artists are challenged to explore the use of fiber in new, exceptional and amazing ways. Whether your work includes yarn, fabric, roving, weaving, spinning, felting, quilting, dyeing or another fiber related form of art, it belongs in this show. Email the application or drop off at the Library. Get paper applications at the Library or Meeting Hall. Application deadline: Jan. 26.

Len Haug Juried into Sprinkler Factory Exhibit

Len's two pieces "The Love Bug" (shown at right) and "The Fall" were juried into the 2012 Sprinkler Factory Gallery "No Themes, No Limits" Exhibition in Worcester which runs through January 12. The show features 23 artists and 41 pieces of art. The Love Bug won Best in Show & 1st Place Mixed Media in the recent GALA Fall Show.  Len's website
Lisa Lisa Regopoulos Solo Exhibit in Princeton
Image Lisa Regopoulos-It's the Climb Lisa Regopoulos will be hanging a solo show split between two venues in Princeton, MA: Princeton Town Hall (Bagg Hall) and the Princeton Branch of the Barre Bank. The show featuring original pastels and a few giclee prints will be hung January 3 through March 28, 2013. Lisa will be at the Barre Bank, 206 Worcester Road, Princeton on March 28 from 2-4 pm for anyone interested in meeting her to answer questions about her work.  Lisa's website

Mother Seeks Art Lessons for Child
A mother is looking for low cost art lessons in the Gardner area for her 7 1/2-year-old daughter. The child could attend Monday or Thursday 3 pm or later; Friday 1:30 or later, or Saturday or Sunday any time. Individual or group classes desired. Email Vicki Heidorn at [email protected] for details.

Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene, NH
Learn the basics of drawing with colored pencils on sandpaper. You will learn how to layer the pencil, under-painting techniques, and create a small finished picture to take home. Colored pencils behave differently on sanded paper creating bold saturated color right away and without the need to preserve whites.
Nicole Caulfield is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and has won many awards including 3rd place in the Portrait Society of America Members Competition 2008, Best of Show at the Thorne Sagendorph biennial show, and 1st place in the United Kingdom Colored Pencil Society International Competition. Her work has also been published in 3 art books and on the tin of Derwent Coloursoft pencils available worldwide. $60 members/$85 non-members.  More info & registration form     Nicole's website
