Scottsdale Parent Council
As supporters of the 2016 SUSD Bond and Override, SPC wanted to share this important message from Yes to Children!

Dear Yes to Children Supporters,

Labor Day is over and it's time to kick our campaign into high gear!  As you know, the SUSD Governing Board approved bond and capital override plans in June.  These two matters will be on the November 8th General Election ballot.  As concerned voters who care about our schools and our future, you know the importance of passing both of these measures.

We are confident that Scottsdale voters will pass these important measures, but there is a lot of work to do!  You have supported our Scottsdale schools in the past and you supported the successful 2014 M&O Override effort, and we hope we can count on your support again.

Here is what you can do to help:

(1)  Please like us on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/YesToChildren/) and follow us on instagram and Twitter (@Yestochildren).  Social media platforms are a uniquely great way to spread the word about the importance of the bond and capital override.  Your engagement and participation in that effort is very helpful!

(2)  Please take a look at the video we produced to explain the bond and capital override.  You can post this on your own social media (or you can just "share" our facebook post, which is probably easier), you can email it on to friends, family and neighbors, or you can include it in neighborhood or parent group newsletters.

(3)  Please sign up to join us on a neighborhood walk.  These walks are a critical way to reach voters and garner their support.  We meet in the high school parking lots at 9:00 am on a Saturday and we are finished by noon.  Here's the schedule:  9/17:  Arcadia, 9/24:  Saguaro, 10/1:  Coronado,  10/8:  Chaparral,  10/15:  Desert Mountain.  Please click here to sign up!

(4)  Please get a yard sign and magnet!  You can pick up a sign or magnet at the following locations:  We will have more signs out for pick up by Friday.  You can pick them up at the following locations:
5702 E Calle Del Paisano, Phoenix 85018 (Arcadia complex)
7434 E Cholla Lane, Scottsdale 85250 (Saguaro complex)
12234 E Paradise Drive, Scottsdale, 85259 (Desert Mountain complex)
5430 E Mercer Lane, Scottsdale 85254 (Chaparral complex)
 6302 N 86th Street, Scottsdale, 85250 (Saguaro complex)
8337 E Granada Road, Scottsdale, 85257 (Coronado complex)
You can also grab magnets at these locations.  If none of these picks up points work for you, please email us at signs@yestochildren.org and we will get a sign or a magnet or both to you!!!

(5)  Please make a financial contribution.  You can  contribute online or mail a check to Yes to Children, 8390 E Via de Ventura, F-100, Box 152, Scottsdale, AZ  85258.

(6)  Forward this email to five friends and urge them to sign up for our mailing list.

We are excited to work together and ensure that our schools continue to excel and contribute to our economy, our community and our property values.
