We find ourselves drawn to knitting more garments these days. Don't get me wrong- we still love our cowls and shawls, but there are so many great sweater patterns out there these days! There is nothing much more satisfying than knitting a sweater for yourself or someone you love!
For the wee ones in your life! This adorable sweater features a detachable front panel with buttonholes on both sides. Genius!! Marcie knit our shop sample out of HiKoo's Kenzie, a light worsted yarn with a subtle tweediness. It is a beautiful blend of New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca, with nylon for strength. Free pattern with purchase!

We are excited to introduce you to a brand new yarn from Berroco. Mykonos is a
silky blend of linen, cotton and nylon that knits and crochets beautifully, creating fabrics with amazing drape. We just received our first shipment of this yarn today, and we are already loving it. Mykonos is shimmery, light, and perfectly evocative of the sunny island it is named after! It is manufactured in Italy and perfect for your spring and summer pieces! Here are just a few of our favorite pieces from the new collection.
All patterns are available individually, as well as together in a booklet.

Recipe
It's soup season! We are huge soup eaters in our family and find it such a nourishing and
comforting
meal. I love how quickly this soup comes together, and how easily you can customize it to your own family's taste.
Red Lentil Soup
Serves 4
1 tablespoon olive oil 2 large carrot, diced 3 large ribs celery, diced 1 small yellow onion, diced 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus additional to taste 1 cup red lentils 4 cups water or low-sodium broth 1 whole bay leaf 2 tablespoons lemon juice from 1/2 large lemon Olive oil, yogurt, or other topping, to serve
In a medium (2- to 3-quart) saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the carrot, celery, onion, and 1/4 teaspoon salt, stir to combine, then cover and let the vegetables sweat until the onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the lentils, water or broth, and bay leaf. Bring up to a boil, then turn the heat down to low and let simmer, covered, until the lentils begin to fall apart, about 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat, stir in the lemon juice, and add salt to taste. Ladle into bowls and serve. Leftovers will keep refrigerated for 5 days. Enjoy!
