Yarns on First
Happy Autumn!
Does it feel like fall where you live? Here in Napa, where we've been experiencing a heat wave, it sure doesn't feel much like it. It's been in the 90's for days now! I'm ready to trade in my sandals for boots and curl up by the fire with my knitting. We've got a few great new yarns to share with you, so hopefully the autumn induced knitting/crocheting bug has hit you all, despite the sunny skies and high temps!
Kenzie
Kenzie by Skacel, just may be the perfect tweed! Silk noils contribute delicate texture and lovely, subtle color accents, New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca lend softness and body, and a touch of nylon lends strength. It is just the tiniest bit fuzzy, but with only 10% angora, you still get great stitch definition. The color palette is so fresh and bright- it is a great yarn for colorwork! Kenzie looks and feels best knit anywhere in the range of DK to Worsted gauges, so is extremely versatile!

Inca Tweed
We are very also excited to introduce you to a great new fall yarn from Berroco, Inca Tweed. This bulky weight feels great in the hand and knits up fast for cozy accessories and garments. It is slightly thick and thin, with a loose ply and a pleasing, rustic appearance. Inca tweed is a blend of alpaca and highland wool, with a just a bit of rayon and acrylic for resilience and luster. It is incredibly soft and we just love the muted, yet classic color palette.
