Well, it's been a long time in coming but we are happy to finally announce our fall line up of classes. Thank you all for your patience during this time of upheaval. We've brought back some old favorites, as well as some brand new classes that we are all very excited about. We will most likely be adding some more workshops, so stay tuned for another update coming your way!
We bid a fond farewell to our crochet instructor Nicole earlier this summer. She and her family are off to new adventures in the mid-west. We miss you Nicole!! Stepping into her shoes is Dara Weyna, a lifelong crocheter, artist, and all around amazing woman. We couldn't be more excited to welcome her to the Yarns on First family! |

Bed Socks
instructor: Vanessa Kearns
This pattern is attractive to sock newbies and aficionados alike. The unusual heel construction is knitted flat, but after the instep, the foot is worked in the round, so it's a great way to practice knitting on double-points. Traditional sock toe shaping prepares the knitter for future socks. You will learn: the "long-tail" cast on; how to pick up stitches; "mattress stitch" seaming; decreases for toe shaping; and the Kitchener stitch for grafting the toe stitches. You'll end up with a pair of perfect house socks - so cozy you won't want to take them off!
