2016 Patchogue Arts Festival: Global Local
October 1 - 31 

2016 Patchogue Arts Festival features the theme Global Local and will explore culture, diversity, and heritage as it informs and inspires the artist. The month-long festival in various locations throughout downtown Patchogue is the ultimate creative place-making celebration of the arts and will showcase visual art, public sculpture, cinema, music, multi-media performance, spoken word, alternative video, and dance.

Call for Sculptures for 2016 Patchogue Arts Festival

We are accepting submissions from sculptors to exhibit outdoor sculptures in the Patchogue Garden Club's Village Community Garden located on the corner of Terry St. and S. Ocean Ave. Artists are encouraged to submit existing works for consideration. Artists will receive a stipend from $500-750 for works that are selected. Submissions are due on September 18, 2016.

Local Happenings & Events
Long Island Arts Alliance presents The Family Arts Zone at The Long Island Fair at Old Bethpage Village Restoration on September 24, 25, 30, and October 1 and 2. The Long Island Fair is the official New York State sanctioned county fair for Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk and features the best of old time county fairs. The Family Arts Zone is an arts-making area of The Long Island Fair in honor of Arts Month 2016


The Fischer Collection: Private Viewing of World-Renowned Contemporary Art and Studio Glass - The Islip Art Museum and The Islip Arts Council invite you to a very special fundraising benefit event at the home and private collection of Olivia and Harlan Fischer on October 1 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. The collection features internationally renowned glass artists including Keke Cribbs, Dan Dailey, Richard Jolley, Zora Palo, Lino Tagliapietra, Bertil Vallien, and Mary Van Cline. Sumptuous cocktails and hors d'oevres will be served. Luxury transportation will be provided from the Islip Art Museum and cocktail attire is requested. Please be advised this event is handicap accessible and will also require walking and standing for long periods of time. $125 per guest; RSVP 631-224-5420.
