As many of you know, PAC was founded in 2008 by a group of artists and community members. We wanted to support, promote, and encourage the arts in Patchogue. Artspace Patchogue was only in its planning stage at the time. The many artists and art supporters already living and working in Patchogue wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere for the future resident artists.

We stood at the site that was the future location of Artspace and puzzled over what would be a great event to begin to brand this location, Terry Street, as a place where the arts happen. At that time we imagined and began brainstorming a street fair that we named Arts on Terry. Due to logistical challenges, PAC went on instead to produce the hugely successful first Patchogue Arts Biennial at Briarcliffe College.

The timing was not right in 2008 for an outdoor collaborative art event. Patchogue Village had a long way to go in its revitalization, and PAC itself had to build a reputation as a collaborator. Over the years, almost every event PAC created for the community has had an aspect of collaboration.

We finally felt the time was right when Artspace Patchogue resident artist Dave Rogers proposed a similar event to the PAC board in 2014.  It only made sense to name the event what we came up with back in 2008. Co-sponsoring and co-creating Arts on Terry with Artspace Patchogue seemed like the natural progression, and we can't wait to see the results on May 15!

This event is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and is administered by the Huntington Arts Council, Inc. Additional support has also been provided by LI Pulse Magazine and the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

Of course, as is always the case, this event could not happen without the manpower and talent of volunteers and artists that believe in the vision of Arts on Terry. We thank you all for your support and participation. Please join us for this very special one day event on May 15 from 11:00-5:00.

Duchess of Malfi
Shakespeare's Globe
Saturday, May 7 and Thursday, May 12

The widowed Duchess of Malfi (played by Hollywood's Gemma Arterton with "beauty, determination, and a sense of moral goodness" - The Guardian) longs to marry her lover, the steward Antonio. But her rancorous brothers, Ferdinand and the Cardinal, are implacably opposed to the match. The complexity of some of its characters, plus Webster's poetic language, ensure the play is often considered among the greatest tragedies of English renaissance drama.

*Optional at an additional charge during intermission: Saturday Brunch catered from Goldberg's Famous Bagels. Top it off with a Mimosa, fine wine, or craft beer. Thursday Evening Cheese Platters are catered from The Cheese Patch. Pair with a fine wine or craft beer from Plaza's Blue Velvet Lounge.
