The Nutcracker
Saturday, December 12 at 10:30 AM
Thursday, December 17 at 6:30 PM

Every child should see THE NUTCRACKER at least once. The new NUTCRACKER from Vienna is a good choice, a Russian version, from Rudolf Nureyev, one of his first grand evening ballets in the West. The costumes are very traditional and very Russian with  fancy officers' uniforms and the grand gowns of the 19th century. The soldiers are Napoleonic and numerous; there are Hussars on reasonably convincing horses. The decorations are as rich as the costumes, with photorealistic drawing rooms and massive grandfather clocks. The children are particularly charming.

*Optional at an additional charge following the screenings: Saturday Brunch catered from Goldberg's Famous Bagels. Top it off with a Mimosa, fine wine, or craft beer. Thursday Evening Cheese Platters are catered from The Cheese Patch. Pair with a fine wine or craft beer from Plaza's Blue Velvet Lounge.
